COVID-19 Mortality Rate, compared to SARS

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are actually multiple types of coronaviruses. SARS and COVID-19 are two of them.

Despite sharing a very similar transmission method, we see a noticeably far lower fatality rate in COVID-19. Although this number could be higly affected by the continued outbreaks in Europe, the mortality rate of closed cases in China, where more than 70% cases are closed, is found to be only at 4.5%.

This could draw the conclusion of COVID-19 being a less lethal virus compared to SARS.
